Hanukkah is a Jewish religious holiday that celebrates freedom and survival and is often called the "festival of lights." This beautiful menorah, made of a copper alloy, was created by Ludwig Yahuda Wolpert in 1958, and is provided courtesy of the Jewish Museum, New York. According to the museum, Wolpert's work employs a "geometric functionalist style associated with the Bauhaus and modernism."
May you all have a joyous holiday season!
Wishing you only good things, Neen
Happy Hanukkah! Yesterday evening we lighted the first candle (actually two with the server).
ReplyDeleteThe children were delighted with their gifts and Hanukkah coins.
