The Art Deco house has been remodeled. My decor just wasn't working. So, I ripped almost everything out, and started again. Here is the revised kitchen. The walls and floor are composed of scrapbook paper. The browns are more similar in person than has been captured by my camera.

There's a new Art Deco kitchen ceiling light:

I love the top hats!
ReplyDeleteI can't stop humming "Lullaby of Broadway" every time I look at it! Thank you Kyle, you always get what I am trying to do.

Love it. Love the bridge. Great theme running here.
ReplyDeleteThank you, once I found the wallpaper with bridge, I was much happier with the kitchen! Now, I have to fix the rest of the house by Saturday(!)

The top hat paper is very cool. Love the light and the domino stairs are inspired =0)
ReplyDeleteThank you for such an encouraging comment! (BTW, the paper so reminds me of Fred and Ginger, I think I will spend the rest of the day watching their movies.....)

Neen! That is the cleverest staircase! I like what you are doing. Very original!
ReplyDeleteThank you Casey, coming from the inventor of Tessie and her marvelous world, that means a lot to me!

You are very brave to rip out and start over. And I love it, especially that Brooklyn Bridge wall. That would be so cool in full size, as well. Very good!
ReplyDeleteYou are right about how cool that would be. . I always admire people who are daring in the interior design in their homes. I am not, although I do have a lot of Art Deco-1930s furniture (no surprise). I would not have the nerve to put the Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge across my kitchen walls. This is probably why I love the freedom of miniature design. Thank you for your very nice comment.

ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, I am getting very nervous about that deadline!

All you need now is a Fred Astaire doll! Perfect work my friend!:-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Grandmommy! I would love Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers figurines to dance on the top hat floor!
DeleteCheers, Need
I'm excited to see the rest!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
